Description
A trailing, spreading plant that will grow quickly to fill a trellis or fan with its thorned, red-flushed canes. The rubus ‘Phoenicolasius’ is a Raspberry variety native to China, Japan and Korea, sometimes known as the Wineberry or Dewberry, and is a larger growing variety due to its scrambling vines which carry many soft, delicious raspberries of orange-red hues with sweet flavour similar to grapes. Lovely white flowers bloom from early Summer before the fruit appears all over the vines around mid-to-late Summer.
Plant in moist, fertile, well-drained soil and keep in full or partial sun in a sheltered position. Water regularly until properly established but avoid waterlogging. Some longer canes may require supports.
