Description
This attractive Yucca is similar to the Yucca rostrata but with wider bright blue-silver ridged leaves. It is native to Mexico, but is hardy enough to survive U K winters, being a hardy perennial to -10C. It is fairly slow growing, reaching around 5m (18ft) over 20 years. It’s best planted outside in very well drained soil in full sun or part-shade, or in a container. If grown in a container, protect the plant in the winter as the roots can be vulnerable to frost damage. Growing Easy to grow, requires full sun to partial shade. Hardy. Requires light sandy, well-drained soil. Plant at least 1 metre apart. Suitable for containers. Protect roots from frost damage. High quality fresh seeds.
