Description
Start the seeds indoors from February-April.
Sow the seeds thinly on the surface of moist seed compost.
Dont cover, as light aids germination.
Keep at a temperature of 20-24c until germination occurs.
Seeds will usually germinate within 714 days.
Once seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant them into individual pots.
Grow on in cooler conditions, keeping the compost moist.
Gradually acclimatise the plants to outdoor conditions before planting out.
Plant out after the risk of frost has passed into their final flowering position.
Choose a sunny or partially shaded, well-drained site for best growth.
Space plants about 20-25 cm apart.
Water regularly during dry spells until established.
Deadhead spent flowers to encourage continuous blooming throughout the season.
