Description
Very dense, bushy, small-leaved native evergreen, with dark green glossy, leathery leaves with an unusual sweet smell. Small, inconspicuous, tufty, honey scented, clusters of pale yellow flowers appear in the leaf axils from late winter to spring followed by pale green to brown fruits. The flowers are attractive to bees and other insects. Slow growing, shade tolerant. Box has traditionally been used for topiary work and for formal hedges.
