Description
Sow seeds from May to June, or in July for smaller overwintering plants.
Sow 1cm deep in modules or trays undercover.
Keep soil moist and the seeds should germinate in 7-14 days.
Pot on seedlings once large enough to handle, keeping them in bright, cool conditions.
Transplant outdoors from late June to August, spacing plants 40-50cm apart.
Harvest from March to May when spears are firm and before florets begin to open.
