Description
This crested form is truly monstrous. Unpredictable, contorting stems grow with cold, blue and purple hues, while tiny black spines grow from scattered areoles in a cobweb-like, white felt. These sculptural crests can sometimes produce normal shoots.
WATERING
Water thoroughly and regularly when soil is 100% dry during the spring/summer months. Refrain from watering during the winter months.
LIGHT REQUIREMENTS
Full sun.
FEED
Use a cactus fertiliser 3 times between March – November.
REPOTTING
This species can live in the same pot for several years. Repotting may only be necessary once every 2-3 years (or longer), once roots begin to protrude out of the drainage holes. Use a well draining cactus compost, adding extra drainage medium such as perlite, pumice or grit.
