Description
This plant carries a fascinating history. Cultivated in England since the early 19th Century, it was initially believed to be a hybrid attributed to F.K. Burridge of Colchester. However, it wasnt until 1928 that its existence in the wild in Texas was officially documented. This annual is an excellent addition to the border, featuring finely divided leaves and striking reddish-brown flowers. The blossoms showcase broad, yellow-edged petals surrounding a purple centre and are abundantly produced throughout the summer, making them excellent for cutting. The plant reaches a height of 1½ft (50cm).
