Description
Delphinium Highlander Moonlight is a herbaceous perennial that brings gorgeous shades of purple, blue and green into the garden. Its flowers bloom in Summer through light purple-blue rosettes that bear bright green centres. The eye-catching colour is always on show at the plant’s peak, with the base being covered in a frilly mound of dark green foliage. Larkspur, as its commonly known, is also an attraction for bees, butterflies and other pollinators.
Growing to an ultimate height of 0.9m and spread of 0.5m, this Delphinium will be the perfect fit for most areas of the garden. They are low maintenance plants that prefer to be grown in full sunlight. Plant in a moist, well-drained soil and then only give it water when the soil is dry to touch. Any spent flowers should be deadheaded and frosted Winter foliage should be pruned.
