A beautiful sight in full bloom, it’s no wonder ‘Cherry Kanzan’ is one of the most popular of all flowering cherries. Each branch hides behind a coating of blossom each April, with heavenly fragranced double flowers with soft pink petals.
It is not just the flowers that demand attention, as consistent coppery red foliage draws the eye, before turning a rich, golden colour in autumn. The aroma released by the annual blossom certainly takes some beating – sweet and delicate, with subtle hints of almond.
