Description
Beautiful form, with leaves which have narrow, irregular lobes, which unfurl gold with orangey-pink edges contrasting with colourful bright green bark. Leaves turn a vibrant yellow-green in summer then turning a stunning orange-gold in autumn before dropping. Tiny red flowers in spring sometimes followed by red winged fruits. Slow growing so suitable for small gardens or container growing in ericaceous or neutral compost. Plant in semi-shade with no mid-day sun. Upright, elegant, compact and bushy. Height 1.5 – 1.8m (5 – 6ft), spread 1.2 – 1.5m (4 – 5ft).
