Rhododendron Golden Wonder (9cm)

Description

Rhododendron can be evergreen or deciduous shrubs or trees, with simple leaves, sometimes with a dense colourful indumentum of hairs on the lower side, and funnel-shaped, bell-shaped or tubular flowers that may be solitary or in short racemes

‘Golden Wonder’ is an evergreen shrub which is ideal for planting as ground cover as it grows wider than it does tall, it is low growing only reaching approximately 40-60cm tall. It produces funnel-shaped yellow flowers around April and has ribbed dark green foliage. It grows well in full sun but also will do well in a semi-shade site, and it needs to be planted in an acidic soil. If you are planting it in a tub or planter then you will need to use ericaceous compost.
