Description
Native to the tropical rainforests of northern and northeastern Queensland coasts and the Northern Territory of Australia, Schefflera actinophylla ‘Amate’ is a hardy species with broad glossy green leaves. Palmately compound, the leaves are made up of smaller oblong leaflets which gently arch at the tips. Commonly known as the umbrella plant, due to its lush arching canopy.
WATERING
In S/S water when 30% of the top soil has dried out. In A/W allow top soil to dry out 50%.
LIGHT REQUIREMENTS
Bright, indirect.
FEED
Use a houseplant fertiliser once a month from April – October.
REPOTTING
Repot every 1-2 years. Use a well draining house plant compost with added draining medium like perlite.
